Description
Wanted to try something in a cross-section, y'know, the buildings..interiors of pyramids, tombs, that sort of thing..so here is an underwater empire
The challenge, was to take a text-adventure game, and move it into 3d (from no-d)..;) just to see what the place would 'actually' look like. I'd make maps to help get around, but always wanted to picture what it would 'look' like. This is an oldie, but a fairly well known one..there's a hint of the game on the part above water..there is a mailbox here..wonder if anyone will guess (who hasn't been to the Wings forum, no cheatin' y'all..;)
The map is fairly accurate, except for some (now) obvious impossible linkages..still, it was fun
Model in Wings 3d, rendered in Bryce..wanted transparent ground, (it's actually an Underground Empire), but the texture wasn't pleasing, so why not put the 'transparency' to good use..;) Enjoy.

Great stuff. I like the way the shapes ripple underwater. Neat effect.

Awesome design and use of transparency! Excellent execution of the concept!
Now this is very cool! I like the designs, and how some of the structures are submerged underwater. Very cool wave effects on the water, good clarity. Excellence for uniquness!
