no. :) i like critics. they help getting better. i only think that the dof is not too much on the other picture. maybe im wrong, maybe not. :)

Fantastic texturing. I really like the glossy reflections on the wood floor... what were rendertimes like? I'm assuming you used vray for this?
habs gerade schon auf 3dmax.de bewundert... allerdings geflt mir das parkett nicht wirklich... vorne sieht es so "hingemalt" aus... ansonsten echt respekt, sehr sche details... anfgersparte stimmt auch nicht wirklich... ;)
vorne machts der dof unscharf. ist ja der beabsichtigte effekt. :)
I think the foreground looks fine. Not hand-painted, just out of focus. People forget that DOF affects the scene before the point of focus and not just after it. The lighting is excellent and I totally agree with zandar on the reflections on the floor. Great job! Is the spider modelled? I couldn't tell from here. If so I'd love to see a closer view. He looks a nasty fella, but then I don't really like spiders :D
Then that is the explanation of the Toxic truck use .. Hallucinating model indeed and masterly texturing.. A jewel !!!

@mbaker: the spider is modeled but only very rough. not much special, a few spheres with ffd modifier and a cone for the sting. but its good enough for this POV i think.

I like it. The dirt track behind the truck is a nice touch. A liquid puddle under the bug plus a few additional scattered drops might add to the effect.

i had the truck already finished. the scene with lighting took ~1 hour.
