Description

This is my first attempt of a submarine scene. I have had a lot of difficulties on the technique to use, at the end I have decided to encapsulate the whole scene in a box, to which I have applied a very dark blue material with a noise function to map it and setting the caustic ones to maxim value. There are 2 spot volumetric lights that illuminates the box from the outside. The atmosphere (all black) and the sun light have been completely annulled. I hope that you like it. Credit: Some plants from planit 3d, the rest from vue cd. Only Vue 4.11 no postwork. Thanks for viewing and comments. Luigi.

Looks great, Luigi; interesting technique to use the box to map the caustics. Thanks for sharing the idea.

(the caustics seem a little big in scale to me... but I never managed any underwater scene so... ) I like the scene a lot and think that vegetation is awfully good looking!

I, personally, have no clue whatsoever what you're talking about here, Luigi '-)...but that doesn't stop me from really enjoying this fine work! You appear to be as comfortable under water as you do above '-)! ==steve
