Description
Here you go Michelle. This pic was taken in the same round as the last one. You can see the face and the eyes are reflecting the flash. I will need to get some better equipment one day to get a closer and clearer view of the face. The shiny black surface of this creature makes it a challenge to get a clear detailed shot.

Superb use of POV and DOF. dramatic view. excellent work. !!!!!!!!! :O) !!!!!!
Closer and clearer?? This is already a tremendous shot! Excellent work =)
Yeah, hard to get details in both with or black insects/animals. Perfect focus, like these forlegs streching into the lens :)
Wicked creepy! I won't even go NEAR those spiders. Black widows are bad news! I think this is an awesome image, it's close enough for me. Where did you find her?
Female Black widow spiders are very beautiful as far as spiders go. Superb shot
Another excellent shot of that creepy spider! Only you can make a creepy spider beautiful in a photo! Excellence Matt! Love this POV!
You got a real fine picture....and....sigh...You are sooooooo brave!
I found her right outside my front door. These spiders aren't very mobile...they tend to stick to their little nook...otherwise bites would be much more common around here. I live in what is pretty much the northernmost habitat for these spiders (The southern interior of B.C. Canada)
:D Love the title... And the POV... and the detail, well, pretty much everything, really :))) A beautiful creature and an outstanding shot.
Stunning creature! caught beautifully... excellent work :@)
What kind of camera do I need to buy for quality closeups like this? Great work!
Terrific, stunning... WOW! Excellent photo again, DOF, color, compo... outstanding!!
This pic is so good! The thumb almost looked like a painting to me...the colors came out so good.
Hehe! Thank you RA.... now that's quite a face! Agree with Tedz....you are a brave one!
OMG! that's downright scarey! the eyes are glowing... oooooooooh... so coooooooool! perfect shot Matt! :]
Reminds me very much of The Red Back Spider we have in Australia, great shot!
Cool! A facinating creature and an excellent shot. Love the DOF.
Wow ! Beautiful macro and lovely spider ;)
To be true, my first thought was "he missed the focus on that one" ... but the longer i look at it, the more i like the feeling this one gives. No easy shot, but you did very well. Thanks for sharing Matt!
You can tell how good this is...because I really want to close it! scary...
Terrific shot! Looks a bit scarey this fascinating creature!
Terrifci macro.......Great look
The depth of field is so tight that the only thing that could be in focus this close to the spider is the face.
Sharp at the right place, fearsome-shot!
Super macro! bravo
~shivers again~ You are bound and determined to give me nightmares. lol. Creepy, deadly and just beautiful! Excellent! :)
I feel like I could touch it - and I think it moved! ;) Very real -
This give me chills, but it's truely awesome!!!
Fabulous....just be careful Matt:)
Beautifully scary.:O))
