Her ribbon tied into a bow
Lay tossed upon the bedroom floor
Her dress of gingham that she wore
Was draped across her armchair
Her ring that in the past
Meant something more than �Will it Last?�
Was hidden in her jewelry box
Where nothing sparkles in the dark
Her eyes that looked so young before
Were drawn like curtains to the floor
Her arms that held another man
Still reach to find love again
Her heart that looked for stars
And searched for love
Still bears the scars
Of empty years and broken dreams
Her ring that in the past
Meant something more than �Will it Last?�
