Description

Well... I'm finally back to modeling again! I was sick and busy for a long time! interior from aga22's toyota supra, bodyshape from GTR MCLaren, headlights from RX-7, tuned tailLights from RX-7, totaly modeled from scracth rims (it just came accidentaly, lol),rear and front airvents inspired from "Sabaman", ;). I'm thinking to put some NEON lights on the car but can't figure out the correct setup settings. Enough talking! Enjoy the ride! Ah! it is dedicated to "Sabaman" because he inspires me a lot with his Excellent models.

GREAT WORK. throwing those pieces together would take a lot of skill, at least a lot more than I have. I bought poser like 3 years ago, and finally saved up enough for max, any suggestions to get me kick started on max?

yeah really great model, tough as for the car i dooooont like the intakes or whatever they'r supposed to be on the sides of the hood and behind the doors, maby if they were smaller and the same colour as the rest, o well

Hey, i've always liked your work....your cars are excelent-though when i look carefully i can sometimes find small modeling errors and things :) but, happens to the best of us. My only suggestion (unless you want that line in the middle of the car) is to weld those middle verticies ...As for me :p i havent uploaded any new pictures of my work since i started modeling cars :( i'm pretty sure i will soon though

Interesting concept but like DJModels said.. the mirror linr in the middle is just some small erro. however i can see that you model is what we like to call "void level of detail" its too high poly to bi of user in a game and too low poly to be used in video .. so i think you should try to get it somewhere rather that just being there .. :) but then again its just me.

Wow!!! Thanks guys! It is not completely finished. I just have to collapse the two half parts to remove the line in the middle. Yes, there are minor errors on the mesh I have yet to correct. I'll be post the final corrected version as soon as I can and with NEON lights on it. thanks you again!

AWESOME!! I think you got a WINNER here :) the things I noticed are the same mentioned: line down the middle, some fitting around the headlights, and if your computer can handle it - some added meshsmoothing on the parts that have chunky curves, example: the front bumper. if your not selling the model, and your computer can handle high polygon count, don't be affraid to go nuts with meshsmooth to get those sweet clean curves. ( 2 -3 iterations max per part ) the best construction method for cars that I've found is model lower polygon as a base, and be smart about adding more detail to only the places that need it ( curves and crisp edges ). add a mesh smooth modifier with 2 iterations to test your end result as you create / modify the mesh. the real key is to always leave your original lower poly base in tact & not to collapse the mesh until you've looked everything over for flaws. then if you find a mistake or want to change something you can :) also this is important if you want to UV map the car for a custom graphics look. I really like this car you've made :) and hopefully these tips will be helpful to your modeling..... they have certainly been important in my modeling process. sincerely, Brett Barrett

Beautiful work, a few small suggestions to help perfect it. Check middle line where the "intercooler" area is, the fin spacing of the intercooler texture isn't lined up right creating a double thick space (see top down view) also on your closeup of the front your front wings on the bumper seam to lift off the body, i'd suggest molding them flush. Lastly tuck the rear wheels in a bit so they don't extend out past the body. oh yeah, and work on getting it produced into a FD rx-7 body kit, would be sweet. ;-)

Hmmmm...It still being a work in progress so far. AssassinJN: I've curently noticed about the middle line but not about the wings lifting and the intercooler texture line up. There still something I still don't understand (FD RX-7 Body kit) anyway...Thanks to all, who're helping me on this project. ;)
