i meant to go to bed 4.5 hours ago, but i got stuck with maya heheh
and THIS is the result! hhahah
well, 1 of the 2 results :)
paint effects are just too damn cool!!
and if you can't tell, i'm VERY MUCH a beginner :p heheh
it's my first 4.5 hours that i've spent with maya, and there will be MANY more to come as i start figuring this awesome program out :)
if you have any good links for beginners or some good advice, please do share them, it's the only way i'll ever learn :)

If you want to find some good tutorials you may want to check out highend3d.com for some good ones and also they have some really cool shaders that are really quick downloads. Another good tutorial site is learningmaya.com. By the way to oblivionblack, Lightwave sucks compared to maya, lol.

This looks like something from the original star trek...very neat! The stars look really cool, as does the "sun"(?) I can't believe how versitle you are, using all these different programs. You are truly a jack of all 3d prograsms. :)
