Description
Coastal snow removal. We don't do it well, lack of practice. It consists of hiring every unemployed backhoe to push the snow down the road, and pile it in the intersections, so you have no idea what's coming. The next best spot to pile it is on the storm drains, apparently there's nothing better than a car accident in 6 inches of water.

I bet it is pretty hard to stop with all of that snow, and ice (after the sun sets and the temperature drops). God I remember seeing snow piled up fifteen feet high at the intersections where I lived in NJ. Such pretty white stuff for picture taking, but such cold wet stuff to be out in. Might need to fire up that fireplace to keep you warm Jim! :)
Now, that's incredible!! Are you sure that's snow or did you stack the sugar (or icing) to make it appear as though it is!?? You don't fool me, showoff!!! Okay...perfect shot! :P
lol! a real traffic hazard! pays to be cautious or bring a blowtorch! :]
... watch out! That's truely incredible! Take care, my friend!
You should be ashamed of Yourself....have You no Morals?....tsk tsk...boasting about hiring Unemployed Hoes....tsk tsk....You will give us other Sailors a bad Name.....I am truly disapointed....even though You have hand reared two Blondes....I am not sure if You have enough Morals to be My Father -In- Law....and the Granddaddy to Smugoons....get a grip of Yourself Man....get rid of that Hoe :[
wow, so much snow you have. take care and stay warm my friend. !!!!!!!!!! :O) !!!!!!!!!
Great shot. I can't figure why it would be piled at the intersections. Why don't they put it in a long row between the two lanes of traffic? That's how it was done in eastern WA.
I told you we're not very good at it. I think the idea is that if you get around the corner safely, you get a free pass to the next intersection, and then it starts again.
At least they didn't completely cover the stop sign here. lol...good photo. Reminds me of Olympia here.
Yep ... covering traffic lights and stop signs would be a nice idea :) But don't worry Jim, we should have a lot more practice with that over here, but it seems as if they are surprised by snow each year .. again and again ...
LOL A classic Jim shot....:) So, there was no bend, no mystery, but did you have to spend all morning with the snow maker just to create one;) Stay safe and warm, Jim and have a great New Year:)
Brrrrr....Im longing for summer! Happy New year!
Acck.....all that snow! Better you than me!
That's one hell of a snow dump!
Lol...we have one right up the street....it is now an ice pile! It's the city's answer to the question "What are we gonna do, we ran out of salt"!!!
Wowzers!!! There must be something to the coastal mentality thang...they seem to do it just the same way here!!!!! Our garbage trucks get in on th eact too...makes for a most interesting form of multi tasking!!
Would be good if the pile of snow started up and drove off!!
