Description
Modeling/render: Strata 3D Pro 3.9
Post work (color correction): Ulead PhotoImpact XL
Lots of photon testing to finally get to this raytraced image. Radiosity renders were projecting more than 100 hours, with optimized settings, so I concentrated my efforts on Raytracing. This one was 3.5 hours.
The floor material came with Strata, it's an Art Grunt material that I adjusted a bit in various channels.
One spotlight, some DOF, photons, lots of refraction testing for the wine material inside the glass (fInally settled for 1.26), and post work in PI for final color tweaking and overall mood (somber, yet, busy).

Excellent work!! I really love the composition of the scene. Hope you kept your sanity working with glass! I know the challenges of finding the right settings and dealing with the huge rendering times.
