Description
While I was taking this shot I did not really see the tiny grains of sand that were blowing in the wind. I have wondered why shells on the beach would have holes worn in them and have always assumed it was the action of the surf. To give you idea of how fast the wind was blowing this was taken at 1/750 th of a sec. I'm sure that would be enough force over time to wear holes into to them as well.
