Description
Salt and fresh water do not mix well, so here there are three bands of water. The bottom is salt, the top is fresh, and the middle a sort of half and half. Closer to the river mouth, you can stand by the bullrushes and watch beach crabs on the bottom of the river, each in the type of water they need. Tnanks for looking, comments welcome.

I always like Your Commentries.....oooooh....I would sit on Your Knee and You could Sing Me a Sea Shanty after telling Me Your Boat Stories :]
Yes, lovely shot
Brackish sort of shot:) You and Tedz are a right pair of salty sea dogs;) Heaven knows what could happen if you 2 got together;)
beautiful natural colours, lovely shipshape shot Jim :-))
again, beautiful picture, Jim. !!!!!!! :O) !!!!!
Yup...brackish as is the mix closest to us here... quickly moving to salt as one leaves the lagoon....Every once in a while an eel will confuse itself and find it's way closer to fresh than salt and end up in the crab traps...messy business!!! As always, I enjoy the reflections in your shots....
Beautiful place to be, great capture! Love your little story too.
beautifully framed by the brushy bullrush! & i'll sit on the other knee with tedz & sure to be entertained for hours by both of your stories & witicisms!
Looks so peaceful to me! Brilliant shot, Jim! Thanks too for the little story to go with!
