Description
This was taken in a 35 knot gale, I had to lean into the wind to stand. The gulls seem to delight in it, using the wind currents along the surfline as a playground, flying for the sheer joy of flying. They let the wind pick them u and push them back, then sid slip down along the edge of the water. It's amazing to watch. I have two 15 second video clips, about 6 MB downloads, one of yesterday's swans, and one of this scene. Anyone interested can e-mail me at jimdubois@telus.net and I'll send them along. It will give you a taste of what it is like. Thanks for looking, comments welcome.

As a Kid....I used to stand against the Wind...just like this....all the other Kid's would fall over....but, My Big Ears kept Me from Falling...the Seagulls liked Me, even though they crapped on Me...it brought Me Luck. I am too slow a Connection (not discussing My Private Life here) to receive a Video..,..Hugz....this is My sort of Scene!
wow must have been just so great to be there. Thank you so very much Jim. Wonderful. As you can see, i do love it!!
I'm not sure if my mailbox will take it, but if you'll try to send the gull-video to raven@bryce4u.de pleeeeaze i'd be very grateful. If it works, i can put this on my webspace for those with smaller mail-accounts.
This is sooo cool. Nature at play. Very relaxing to look at. I'll be thinking of it when I get my tooth crowned later this month. :)
LOL@Tedz's ears! Wonderful image. I can almost hear the waves pounding against those powerful rocks...no wait..I DID HEAR THEM. Btw, the video is well worth the download. It's fabulous. :)
yep, this is nature power. wonderful picture, Jim.this seagulls are fantatstic flyer. !!!!! :O) !!!!!!!!
as kids we used to tease Tedz about his ears. it was always great fun to be driving down the highway in the roadster and make him stick his head out the window. oh you should have seen those ears flapping in the wind! we almost lost little Tedz once because of wind shear though, so Gramps made us stop. although he never made us stop tying a rope 'round his wee waist and pulling him behind the roadster while he wore roller skates. but that's another story for another image. speaking of which, did i mention it's an awesome image?
maybe you can post it on a webpage & we can link to it? fraid it wouldn't fit in my inbox... dynamic feel here, i can just imagine watching the seagulls soaring & diving, riding the wind as it whips my hair around, the salt air licking my face... your commentary adds much to the mood, thank you, it was fun :]
i'm back for more... hehe... :] ...couldn't let the day go without wishing you a....~ H A P P Y ~ B I R T H D A Y !!! ~ :D hugz
