Well, I think this is my final product. I'm not sure if I want this border, or any border for that matter. But just in case I'm throwing it in front of you, border and all, to see what you think. Border or no? You decide!

This is professional, book cover quality work. The border makes it perfect for use as wallpaper on a computer desktop. Excellent!

Magnifique! Really good layout. Most excellent, and I like the border. ^_^ A simple 2/3 color border just wouldn't do. The depth of it brings out the picture, I believe.
Excellent image! Keep the border - it definitely adds to the image. What did you use to do the light and ring around the faerie? UIC?
I used a combination of a blur effect (Duplicated the layer, then used guassian blur) and on top of that I used a lense flair. And I used Ultra Fractal 3.03 for the border. Thanks for the comments ^_^

I decided no to go with the border in the final print. It just took up too much space. When I frame it, I'll be putting a border on it anyway ^^ Woo!
