Description
an experiment with volumetrics and image maps and water...quite happy with it myself...the purpleish sky comes from a slightly pink volumetric scattering in the volume environment that surrounds the scene....comments...enjoy

I love it! Very, very good Bobby.
Very nice lighting and water although the buildings tend to look a bit flat. Good on ya.
Nice image, well done.........like the way you explain yourself too, some good tips come from you Bobby:):):)
Water is absolutely awesome.Any hints on how you achieved it? I agree the buildings look a bit flat. Something to do with the volumetrics, maybe?
the buildings look flat as they're an image map pasted on a half cylinder.they weren't my focus as much as geting the atmosphere, and the water interacting the way i wanted. For the water i used fracbump.itx(in the archive if y don't have it,sorry Amigans)and played around with themirror and shape functions for the bump and i used ABFakley.itx, set to control the reflectance,colour2=255,255,255. colour1=object colour.Maybe i could have made an object of the skyline in convert object, extruded a bit and used that but till this moment it never occured to me....lol
