Description
Each river and creek along the island has its own group of feathered undertakers. When a salmon carcass washes out of the creek, it causes a flurry of activity, not to mention a considerable racket. What the seagulls and crows don't get, the beach crabs and shrimp do, 'till the skeletons are picked clean and end up looking like a cartoon image. Thanks for looking, comments welcome.

Your pictures always give me the feeling of great freedom - it's great to see such a vast landscape!
What a lovely land/seascape, impressive as always. Its a shame that we will see less now it seems that we are only allowed 1 image per day!

much like our vultures & roadkill... & the circle of life goes on... good one :]
the hazy mountains seem appropriate for the story too for some reason. really like the image. great shooting!
Have to agree with all said above...especially about the sense of w-i-d-e open spaces your images show us!!!
Seeing this brings to mind the movie...."The Birds"!!! Love the POV! :)
Love your explenation under this beautiful image!
Beautiful space, and lovely blues... It's strange that when one merely look at the wide horizon and the lovely blue so seldom think how cruel can be the circle of life...
harmonic merging of greys and blues. so beautiful the way seagulls mix with the stones... :)
Apart from the noise of the gulls, that I now can't get out of my head, this looks a really nice peaceful place:) Nature's recycling is really excellent, nothing ever wasted:)
