The church from a distance. No, you are not seeing things. I did a double take over the bell tower as well. It is on the SIDE of the building and not over the front as one would expect.
FWIW there are five missions in the San Antonio area. The BIG one is San Jose which is posted later in this gallery. The small one is the farthest south from the city. The most famous one is more popularly called 'The Alamo.'
