Description

seems like its been forever since my last post, i havent had any great ideas lately, xpt this one:)) I had the image set in my head, but it went through alot of changes to get to this. as a side project i was modeling the "polarbear" scout buggy, so i decided to throw it into the scene. (ill be putting it in freestuff, untextured, soon...) I finshed this on thursday night, but left friday morning to go to the smokies, a big breath of fresh air:) some specs: mountains were made in terragen, tank modeled in wings3d and bryce, and people imported from poser. the backpack on the dude was made in wings3d- stars created in universe image creator and added in with photoshop. the footprints were thrown in last minute, i dont like how they came out but that was as good as i could get them. also thanks to lynn jonathan for his awesome armor suit. Please tell me what you think, comments, crits are all very welcome. thanks for taking a look!

A little more attention to texture and color variation on the suits would make this a much better picture. As is though this scene rocks!

This is excellent. I think the simplicity of their uniforms are alot better than adding anything to them. I Imagine if they were in anything other than camouflage, whatevers on that planet would see them in a second. Awesome picture, and a vote.

the texture of the rings on the planet at left is superb; probably just how they'd look from this distance; good work!

I regret for not commenting on this image sooner. I am also sad to see that he average ranking for this beauty is only Great. I think this work is fabulous! The blurred horizon, the upclose crisp detailed textures are all done soo well. I give this not only an excellent, but a vote also.
