Greetings all!
Back from 2 wonderful weeks on the road with my new Canon EOS Digital Rebel SLR. I have a whole lot to learn about how to use it, but I did manage some decent shots. Here are 3 from the first couple days of my trip.
This is some of what remains of the famous Cannery Row on the Monterey, California waterfront.

LOL But I did manage some decent shots The words light, hiding and bushel, spring to mind:) Good to have you back Steve:) Fabulous POV, gives real depth to the shot and there's a strange colour in the sky, sort of.. blue, I think it's called..only grey here now;)
I like the compo, with those flowers in the foreground contrasting with the hand made pieces... and all those shades of blue...
The lighting here is perfect. This shot is kinda different. I would have thought that the plant in the foreground would be a little distracting but it really works here.
But in the end it's not your new camera you know! Serene shot!

It's sad when all the Birds fly away :( I don't see a Canary anywhere....they were such lovely wee things!
