Poison? More informarion please?
this poison oak plant looks like and grows with the oak trees and is found all thru California. many like myself, as a surveyor, are highly allergic to it and break out in a devistating itchy rash that can quickly spread all over the body. if not controled and with shots and/or Calimine lotion the rash will continue to spread and could incapcitate a person. if you breath in the smoke from a brush fire that has poison oak burned in, your lung could swell up and you could die from it if not treated.
Great information Gary!I had an idea to write a photo-illustration book years ago.Thought it would be valuable to document medicinal, edible, and poisonous plants. But I never had the photo equipment to do so!I still think it is a great idea and could actually be quite useful for people in the field. It's been a while since I encountered Poison Oak in the wild. But I am well aware of it's dangers. Thanks for sharing this!:):):)
