Description
::: Part 19 of a series of Warbird Photos :::
Taken at the Planes of Fame Museum on Chino Airport, California at the 'British Airpower' Event. (8/6/03)
One of the Royal Air Force WW2 costume reinactors at the event. This turned out a lot better than I ever could have thought. The aircraft in the background came out perfect (it's a RAF Hawker Hurricane Mk X). A photo like this would be normal during the Battle of Britian in 1940...
Camera is a digital Minolta Dimage 7hi (5 MP). This image has been shrunk down to 33% of the original full size. Custom White Balance with 'portrait' mode selected (manual focus).

Ok some big issues here. The aircraft is not a Hawker its a Spitfire. There are only six Hawker Hurricanes in operation and two of those are RAF! All Hurricanes are canvas as you shown with your picture thats a metal skin, That is a Spitfire! no Question~! Thats a Mark 5 spitfire the exhaust ports show that it is that! Asides from this nice piture!
Correction - this is a Hurricane Mk X. I sent a Instant Message to Sorcerssofgreyskull and he also agreed. It's currently still located at the Planes of Fame Museum in Chino, California.
Wonderful portrait! LOL regardless of which plane it is or isn't hehe :-)))) thank you for a wonderful time in here today!
