Description
Someone's seen the Two Towers a bit too often!
I Did this mainly in Photoshop and Painter 8 - the latter of which I've just bought and am still playing with.
Btw - whatever made me choose the name "Sardine" for a handle? Real name's Nick!
This is my first pic for Renderosity.

awesome entry i'm a freak for trees and this is no exeption, love the textures, welcome to teh gallery!! ;0)
Very cool Ent. Curious if this is primarily photo manipulation - or was it done from scratch... Interesting image and quality work in either case.
Hi Nick. That's a worthy first entry to the gallery. Keep up the good work. :)
Welcome ;) it's nice to see you....this has some very smooth touches and the textures are an excellent choice..I'd also like to know if this was done from scratch...it looks to be from some sort of photo ...??
Beautiful texture!!! Excellent as a first work!!!
Amazing piece of work, keep em comming ;0)
Hey! Welcome to 'Rosity, and congrats on your beautiful first posting. I really love it. Hey - how are you liking Painter 8?
Welcome Nick! Your treelord is beautiful in texture, inspiring!
Thanks for the friendly welcome, guys! (and gals!). To answer the points raised - yes the pic is manipulated from a photo. It is mirrored, as you've probably guessed, I put the eyes in but the mouth is natural. For those of you into the symbolism of these sort of pics - the tree is an Oak intertwined with a Hawthorn on an eroded river bank (Derbyshire, UK) - I have an interesting version from the side view - I'll be putting up tomorrow. I've been into Photoshop for about 5 years but have only recently been doing serious stuff - mainly faeries and Goth - which I hope to show you in due course.
Very beatiful work!
