The terrain looks just like frozen mud...very realistic look. He looks cold and angry...very Viking!! Cool one, Paul.
Good work! You've even succeeded in catching that suspicious, untrustworthy look in his face that characterized most vikings. Unfortunately, those characteristics still survive today, but more subtly. Good work on the rocky shore (frozen mud?). Scandinavia was quite warm during viking times- it was easier living then than later. But pillage was what brought them out. If they couldn't trade, they killed and robbed.
You certainly have my vote on this masterpiece Paul!! Incredibly well done and so realistic [wasn't there but I can presume :)] Bravo!
Outstanding work Paul, I wouldn't like to cross paths with him!! ;o) Great work on the terrain and expression - beautifully done as always!
Excellent composition and posing. Great work. CC
Great work, Paul!! I like the mood. I assume he is landing on one of his pillages ;}
Very realistic... down to the cold colour of the water...very impressive!
This is so cool! Love that viking outfit. Great image, Paul!
