Description
Once there was a great forest at the heart of Westmorland in the north of England. The ruler of this enchanted wood was not of human blood, but of the Faerie, or Fane. He had lived among the mortals for millennia, wearing many names and guises, and had become one of the last of the Elder Race to remain in the realm of man. The Forest Lord cared little for men, but he protected the lands as his part of the pact sealed ages ago with the human owners of the land around the forest.
Based on the book The Forest Lord by Susan Krinard, available from penguin putnam subpublisher Berkley.
