Great compo and dof here. What is it?
Yes.. what is it?? BTW a beautiful shot.. :)
It's a tree pod thing! :) I don't know exactly... it was part of a tree I noticed on my trip up the coast in Sonoma County. It's a close-up with my Sigma 70-210mm zoom. It looks sort of like an acorn, sort of like a seed pod... your guess is as good as mine. :)
Are You trying to start "Zooooooooooom Wars" Darth F&J???? Don't You go waving Your Zooooooooom around sigh...for My Zooooooooooooom will get over excited...yep, it is a Pod :)
Excellent DOF, beautiful greens on the left and a great texture on the pod :))) I like it a lot, whatever it is :)))
Well shot! It's a... oooh damn! How is 'pigna' translated? Sorry, in Italian is 'pigna', in English... I don't know!
Really excellent use of DOF on such an interesting pod:) Who needs clouds and blue skies when you can capture these:)
Oh come on now... Really! Don't you know what that is! It's an Aarrgggghhhhhhh............ Silence ensued...
It's D*m good is what it is, so there!
Funky - In medieaval times, local magistrates and witch hunters alike, would hunt down and execute any tortoises they felt were then dabbling in witchcraft or other nefarious black arts! Offenders would be chased after, hung, drawn and and shelled ...their heads cut off and left to rot, not on pikes and fence posts like highwaymen ...but on local hedge branches! Thus this served to forewarn other tortoises of the consequences of their misdeeds whilst also keeping the local men and women folk secure in the knowledge that no shelled creature could bedevil then. This must be old tortoise head from ...oooh, I'd say the mid 17th century! :)) Regards M.
"I think he's got it!" (R3MAF)...wink wink... if ya look close enough at a slight TILTy...you'll see,its gotta noze and ski-goggles on.....yes it does! Clarity is great.
You have such a great eye also for details! An excellent capture!
