good eye for the subtle poetry in nature! :]
nudge cynlee..Yep I agree..this is sure lovely Country You display. Air starts to thin at that height...the Trunk might like a Piercing :)
Stumps rule, and so does this shot...Excellent compo, I like that slanted tree in the background too, I hope you got some shots of that :)
Mmm, very nice, you do such a good job of making miss the high sierras
This lone stump looks as if it has become as such due to natural means of decomposition over time as opposed to being cut down with a chain saw. Nice contrast, beautiful looking meadow way up there. -Peace :-)
OMG... this is so perfect. The mood of that wooden "natural column" merged in the rest of the dreamy scene is almost a tale in itself. the neatness of this picture is impressing me till no ending extent. Superbly made.
Bringing the beautiful, strong tree in the background into the composition gave that shot the atmosphere of time passing by all living things. Wonderful light on the stump, bringing out its texture and making it stand in the 'spotlight' of the scene, as though playing the leading part. Beautiful, moody shot :)
Great composition, so many things balancing and mirroring others:) The rich saturated colours have become your trademark (along with those skies) All in all a beautiful, thought provoking shot. Made a great start to my day:)
I can only repeat what has been said. More than Excellent.
Just superb!! A further example of your great eye for detail and composition!!
I'm glad with your new scanner cos I can enjoy this perfection of light and color. Like this image too and I'm sure I'll like all of this serie. Thanks for this beautiful photographic journey.
I think all has been said.... so I'll just add my beautiful! to this.
Is it just me who see a scary face on that stump? Reminds me of "Scream" ;o)... really a beautiful composition... ever loved the texture of old wood.
