Description
The island in the background is Pelican Island. It's man made from the dredging of the Houston Shipping Channel. There is a Destroyer escort and the USS Cavala. The Cavala has been set up as the USS Seawolf Memorial. There were 50 submarines lost during World War II and each state has a memorial for each one. Texas' is, of course, the Seawolf. I might hop over to Seawolf Park and take some pictures.
