Description
This plant comes in many forms so I used its common name. (Latin isn't my strong suit).
It is also popular in Scottish stately homes because of its thistle like appearance.
For me I just like the way the feathery foliage creates a halo effect in sun light.
I hope that you all like this one. Thanks for stopping by.. Joe :o)

I do Joe this is excellent! I bet the Goldfinches love these..
A splendid shot of the most interesting and beautiful plant! Excellent work catching it in the sunlight :)))
Super photograph of one of my favourite plants. The depth of field is excellent and the foreground is pin sharp.
Great shot, great light work good focus. Excellent
Excellent and very beautiful
Very nice shot! Sure you did no postwork?
I love what you done here. Those contrasts of dark and light, blue and yellow, soft and sharp. This one is most beautiful of its kind I have seen. Great work!
superb image. Bravo.
Oh this is wonderful...excellent use of the light!
I like how you captured all the tiny details!
Very cool!
Thanks everyone for your comments. Just for the record, apart from my name placement, post work was used to slightly darken the back ground to reduce the emphasis of the blue flowers that would otherwise distract.
