I like it like this as well...an original butterfly shot...splendid shot.
Too bad you couldn't do both, huh? :))) But I think this one is gorgeous with the sense of movement, the DOF and the colors. Really beautiful :)
I suppose it is a question of depth where the background is purposely blurred to minimize it's emphasis and then the wings are most forward so that the image pushes and pulls in blur fields. Not wishing to be too ignorant I would say focus the background more to make the wings leap out and let the flower gray a bit. The little red areas on the wings must not move in all this.
The motion, go for the (e)motion! Lively and colorful shot!
