Excellent work, I love it
WOW STAN! You did it again! Fabulous work with Xenodream!
Very Cool Stan!
Very nice image. I know the book by Sohl of the same name. The needle is similar to a "stargate"-type device that allows living matter to transport to who knows where. But religious fundamentalists get worried and sabotage the needle. It then misfires and sends a whole city block off to somewhere that clearly isn't Main Street. Then, the stranded folks have to figure out how to build a crude replica of the needle in order to get back. This is just background in case anyone wants to know. Cool rendition of this concept, Stan...
Wonderful image! Like a shrine. Excellent depth and perspective.
I remember the book also! chuckle hooray for the Grand Old Days of Classic SF! This would have worked well as cover art for the period!
Awesome image, Stan..and thanks for the interesting background, Terry.
