Description
In a tropical cove, the mother orca welcomes her new born to their enchanted world, while the little one's father jumps for joy.
This is the start of a new series that I will be doing from time to time with whales, killer whales especially.
PUBLISHED ON BACK INSIDE COVER OF RENDEROSITY MAGAZINE #6 (2nd RUNNER UP IN CONTEST)
Thanks to the judges and congrats to the winners and contestants of the #7 cover contest. I am truly honored to be among such great company.
Comments are welcome.
Thanks for looking as always and if you like underwater mammals, check out Dolphin Fantasies III which has links to them all.
Vue D'Esprit/Photoshop/Painter
This was created in Vue with a water plane in the center of the image and then careful use of the fog/haze effects to get the bottom to come out right. Several spotlights including a volumetric light creates the light rays and the caustics on the ground. Some touchup and the splash were done in Photoshop and Painter.
The reason for the small splash was to allow focus. A large white splash would have really off balanced the image...
