The Battle of Hastings, rendered for RDNA's Time Machine contest. Didn't win, didn't expect it to. Ah well, hope you enjoy it.

Nice image, I like the colors and the sense of movement. :)

Very cool! I love the background!

Very nice! But at Hastings they only wore Chainmail. Full Plate Armor was developed in the High Medieval Age

True, I know, but sadly, this is all the armor I possess, so I had to take some liberties otherwise William would have been running around the battlefield stark naked. (O.O)

that dude in the back is like "HOLY--- I LEFT MY HELMET AT HOME! CRAP!!!!!!!" the pic is a little too clean... no old blades, no dirty horses, no dirty women... nothing is dirty. they all look like they just stepped out of the mideval battle section at wal-mart. i think applying some realistic dirtiness would make the scene more believeable. keep trying hard! DIG IT, JIVE TURKEY!

The image is a good one with great composition and style, but maybe it should be re-titled. Knights in medieval amour with a French castle as a background do not the 'Battle of Hastings' make! VH
