Description
When the volcano decides to vent ash everything gets covered with this fine grey ash. This is the time to put on your dust masks as the ash is very acidic, very irritating to the eyes and throat. It is a very fine silica. As a point of interest, I have used it to tumble polish semi-precious stones.

Great light in this one joe
Reminds me of the begining of the movie "Rebecca" by Hitchcock, B&W with trees in the fog. This has the feeling of ash as you have descibed, beautiful scene but wouldn't want to be there,LOL.
murky and truly horrible...with beautiful sunsets it seems theres a dark side too as with everything beautiful...:)lovely mist and fog joe ...nice one
You must live somewhere close to a volcano?? Nice feel to this rendering
really kool, excellent work man
very kewl Joe. The fog gives it a great dusty feel...I go away for a week and you went inland. Bravo on this
Nice job!
The atmosphere is really well done. Almost alien in feel, much dread here.
Very nice ! Ash texture could be improved, but it's very nice picture - great imagination deevee! Realy great!
rm2001, why do you think that this is from my imagination? this is an image of a volcano on the island I was born on. it is wrong for you to think that it is from my imagination! I happened to have been there!
