Description
Lying at anchor somewhere in the Pacific after its clash with the 'Abraham Lincoln'. [which had been sent out to find it, ascertain what it was, and hopefully destroy it.] Shown here, the Nautilus is actually riding too high in the water. It is supposed to be 8 meters in diameter, and is said to show no more than .8 meters when on the surface. [approx. 32"] The vertical post on the deck is a height guide showing two meters. [or, the height of a man, Really should have deleted it.] So in reality, the Nautilus should ride no higher that half that height.

The moddel's better than the scene, I don't know how easy it is to terraform in Carrara, never having done it, but the rocks are a bit lame an the less said about the birds being absolutely identical tho' better. Still, nice modelling.....!! ;-)
Amen...and 'serves me right for putting the Nautilus in a scene that I was not completely happy with in the first place. Tha Nautilus was built in one night, it was getting late, and I wanted to see it in a water setting. I had this scene half-done in Vue, tho' it had never quite come together. Even the birds are an expediency, cobbled together from another model. [designed to be seen at a much greater distance]
Kelley, I like the whole scene, even the identical birds. It may not be realistic, but it works for me. But to me it's the wreck of the Nautilus, washed up years after being sucked into the Maelstrom. The only improvement would be to list the hulk a few degrees.
Very great looking scene.
