This is my first attempt on creating a texture... and my third on painting hair using the Crasher tutorial - you don't want to see the first 2... (and, Crasher, thank you for writing it down for us!) Still there's loads of room for improvement... :)
Ideas, anyone?

Well done! I have two suggestions. First, check out her nostriles. I would expect them to be darker on the inside. Second, the hair is great! If it were me I would have the long highlights follow the hair instead of crossing back and forth (just my opinion). Great work!!

Lovely start here. On your lighter strands, take the opacity down just a tad and try that. :)
