Hi and thank-you very much for looking, my new story will continue using the beautiful V4 (Victoria 4) & M4 (Michael) ... down-under Good morning just a quick up-load before Evelyn and Myself go to work to finish grafting and new job Monday still at Clarky's orchard, return Darren's computer after work and swap cars and see how he is doing, bye. picture 1; Just as I knock on the door I get a message on my phone, it is Evelyn wondering where I am and are I safe?, I send a quick reply that I am just a few houses away from car and safe, Mira is playing pinball with Ghost-Face, when I turn around I see a giant fireman watching me, I apologise for being on my phone and tell the fireman I am Maggie and I am trick or treating but saw his beautiful car and crazy number plates and could we talk?. picture 2; "OLD-FART" explains to me that his parents owned the car since new and passed it on to him many years ago and he has kept it original all that time and only takes it out on special occasions, it has about 53,000 miles on the clock, not bad for a 1970 Holden HG station wagon, I love it and feel scared to even touch it, a real treasure for sure. ps did you see the goat? I did not but Evelyn and Mira said it was there so with their help I included it. picture 3; I saw something else of interest at the back of his garage behind the car and yes I had to ask to see, it is a early 1990's Drew Price Engineering go-kart that fireman Sam use to race, he raced for 5 or 6 years and then work got to busy so it sat un-used in garage for a long time, his sons had no interest and he was hoping a grand-child might show interest, in 2015 he had the motor completely re-built and in 2020 the chassis was re-powder coated his grand-son was interested, lots of new parts were bought and then Covid-19 hit the world and everything stopped, after Covid-19 eased his grand-son was more interested in computer games and phone so the go-kart got forgotten, so sad, he asked if I had interest in the go-kart and I said :Yes yes we just went go-kart racing and it was lots of fun" he asked "would I be interested in finishing the go-kart and racing it again for him, he would be happy to give it to a new interested owner?" it was a very tempting offer and I asked if I could phone a friend and see what he thought because I would need his help, he said Ok and I rang Darren and told him about the go-kart and it was complete just in parts, he wanted a photo of the engine which I sent him, he laughed and said "I see it is shaped like a pine-apple so I think I know what it is, it will be 100cc or 110cc and they rev to 22,000 or even 24,000 rpm or more, they are also shape like a hand-grenade and for good reason, they are very fast but such high revs can cause lots of failures, it will require you to be push started it has no starter motor or centrifical clutch so you cannot stop and start like the go-kart you drove the other night, how much does he want for it?" Maggie ; "he said he will give it to me if interested it is doing no good sitting in the back of his garage" Darren ; "really? that is generous Maggie ... you know you cannot drive it in the orchard or on the road it will need to be taken to a proper go-kart track, you will need to join a club and get a licence, I have a trailer for transport so it is up to you Maggie, if you must have it I will help, but how much use do you think it might get? ..." Yes good point I would love to have it but it would be un-fair to take it if it was only going to sit un-used in another garage or shed. so thank-you for such a generous offer but I am not to be the go-kart new owner. picture 4; As I was saying thank-you and good-bye to fireman Sam, Daniel, Evelyn and Mira arrived to continue trick or treating before dark, Also the fire-truck was arriving to take fire-man Sam trick or treating, the fire department help by stopping in secret location that the local radio station tell and people can get a free Halloween show-bag with all sorts of goodies which sounds like a lot of fun. picture 5; Fireman Sam asked me if I had ever ridden in a fire-truck and would I like to come for a ride?, I had never ridden in a fire-truck and I would love to but it is so high up how do I get in?, before I knew it I was flying haha ... fireman Sam picked me up and put me in passenger seat for the ride. picture 6; So high up and good lighting this is fantastic I love riding in fire-truck. picture 7; Aaagh zombie quick run it over haha ... oh no wait it is Halloween we have to stop and give it candy. picture 8; This is secret location where fire-truck will stop and soon (hopefully) many trick or treaters will visit ... toot-toot Evelyn is here to take me to work in TO OT the work mini-van, late start but early finish if all goes well. more Halloween story and pictures to come soon in coming days, still 2 computers to use so I will finish Halloween pictures to share, stay safe and big thank-you for viewing & reading. #NO-AI I cannot use photos now it has AI added, I use a old program called Microsoft PhotoDraw 2000, it is on discs and never up-dates so no AI can be added. Windows 11 wants to up-date again, I checked the page to see up-dates and yes it wants to add more AI, at bottom of page I ticked "Was this helpful" ... YES" and wrote comment "It was helpful and clearly if I up-date now I am inviting AI to wreck my computer, stop using AI it is bad". I have paused up-dates for now but that does not always stop Windows from up-dating...
