The Commander stood near the forward observation windows. Before her; one after another, Probe ships seemingly burst through the veil of space before her eyes. "More than I imagined." One of the Pilots walked up to stand by her side. "A fraction." The Commander chuckled lightly. "So far we have five arriving." She paused for a moment as she watched lights flicker on aboard the first arrived. "Their command officers will awaken shortly. They'll be receiving the alert messages now that they are within the communications range." "How will we coordinate all this?" "We were first notified, since we were closer to the event. So, knowing more, though not much at that. We are the ranking officers." She sighed softly. "Continue activation process." She turned on her heels. The Base Commanders will be waking now. I have a briefing to attend."
