A very descriptive image!
I think of Cervantes/Sancho Panza (I read that 4000 years ago, I barely remember a word), this treveler, however, seems to seek something he can't reach...trying to catch time, to 'bottle' it, seize it. But it sits out there huge as the sky, and probably unreachable. Haunting image. And you use sun-flare very well, almost as if the glass itself caused it. Very evocative piece.
