When Time Is Just A Memory
As she sits in her memory room
With all the treasures of gone by years,
Time is only measured in memories now
That was once filled with laughter and cheers.
Her life is just a lonely one at this point,
As she remembers a house once filled with joy.
There was the sound of many children laughing
As they were playing with Christmas toys.
She wonders where all the time has gone,
The children are now grown and moved away.
They are living the moments of their lives
While she just dreams about her happy days.
Her memories are of the love of her life,
The handsome man who showered her with love,
They had spent so many years being together,
Before God called him to Heaven above.
Her once dark hair has now turned to silver
And her aging face has a wrinkled brow.
She just sits alone here in her memory room,
Where time is just a memory now.
