Description
Alongside a once-busy highway, the station waits, transmitting it's welcome: "Robot truck service. Power. Repair. All makes and models." The message used to advertise tires as well, but no tires have been delivered in a long time now. Not since the last time the station had a human visitor. No parts have been delivered either, although it still has a good supply. Enough to handle most minor repairs. And the chargers still work.
The robot trucks don't pass as often as they used to, either. Once, the station was busy. Now months pass between trucks. Still, those trucks that do come by relay the news, such as it is. The few remaining automated factories are gradually shutting down, running out of parts or raw materials. When they do, their robot truck become idle. There were a lot of humans once, but nobody seems to know where they went. None of the robot trucks say that they've seen any in years.
But with or without humans, the jobs must be done. The automated factories must continue their production. The robot trucks must make their deliveries. The service stations must recharge and repair the trucks. So the station transmits its call over and over again: "Robot truck service. Power. Repair. All makes and models."
And it waits.
And it waits.
And it waits.

This is a great image to an incredible story. Your story made me stop to think how it would be a world without any humans and just robots as you describe...where have the people gone and are they still around. That would make an incredible sci-fi animation short film! :)
