She looks beautiful, I only can guess, but is it the Eastern Garter Snake? If yes, harmless for humans :)
I think so! I know for sure it is a type of Garter, not 100% sure it is Eastern but yes I do believe harmless to humans. Hard to tell with this shot but the snake is also pretty small is size.
Yes - Eastern Garter snake. Totally harmless unless you're a bug. Had a couple of these as pets when I was a kid. Nice portrait of this one.

You can tell by the eyes many times, the garter has round/oval eyes and pupils, the adder has the slotted pupils.

I'm very interested in snakes, I like them a lot and we don't have any dangerous poison snakes in Norway. And the Adder isn't poison enough to kill a healthy human. Dangerous only to babies and weak, sick older people, cats and dogs. But it's always good to know, which snake it is, when you cross their pass and have a dog with you :)
