Description
Got an idea after seeing people do game menu challenges for their own some content. Mine is just render and occasional photos. Ain't first fake game screen that I have made though but I somehow never have made menu one before.I got an idea of sharing some black and white edits with one artsy group and though hmmmmm. This has potential. Am also thinking that maybe... if I have TV and gaming props.... this already is leading towards next idea. I put this together in Slides because I though about some simple animation on it and that combining that into hopefully learning something. -If am going to learn something it probably is this is not how to animate stuff. x'D
Photo used is one of my photos. From my former home.

Like the styling of this, would make a fantastic high quality game with those details. I played the one game once where it had a super high level details and you could wander aimless off in pretty much any direction for a while which made it feel a lot more....real and less controlled. It was a pretty difficult game though because there is no hand holding but this reminds me of it. That open space and freedom and high details.
Great job all around
I prefer openworld games a lot because the freedom of wandering almost to wherever and whenever is lot more fun and interesting that tightly controlled walking simulation. Resident Evil games for example are good but they suffer from tight control at times where player is supposed to be going. At times it's infuriating that there are these highly detailed map areas and game does not let you explore none of it. For me they are rather infuriating walking simulations.
I haven't gone to this place at the river nearby my birthhome in years. I should to go see how does it look now. To at least get some video footage of it to make rather easy peasy animated pause screen. x'D I kind of suspect that it might have dried or grown shut by now because there was rather long dryness here in few years in a row.
Also, I get that there is new little challenge to recreate this as close as possible in 3D assets and models that I have in my Runtime folder. Or try out game making software maybe.
I did think this concept bit and thought it would be psychological horror with Finnish folklore. There are scary things that some doesn't even have no name of what they even are. And even if they had names, those names have been long lost because there hasn't been anyone collecting nor storing this information.
@ukuotus I hope you can go back and see it, it would be nice to see how it looks now - hopefully not dried up as you suspect
I kinda hope so. Though maybe next summer or autumn.
