she should have done some sort of research. great scene all over. like//fave
Thank you very, very much ππ
This made me laugh so hard, very funny scene! Be careful though, those little dogs can make some serious ankle bites!
Thanks a lot, and it made me happy that I made you laugh ππ
Oh yes, I know, I had a neighbor, an old grumpy lady and her dog was like her. But this dog never attacked me, one try, I stumped with my foot and since then I had my peace :D
I'm sorry I don't know the tv show or the quote--I looked it up, I liked what I saw, but am not familiar. (And does that long quote in the background, come from the same source?) I like that quote, in any case.
While I can't fully appreciate the reference, I like the image, just on its own: The three people in their own universes, the three pets---with the dachshund sitting apart from (I assume) its master. The master doesn't look too thrilled, lol. And some wild, misty other-universe right behind that arch. Whatever it represents, it's a really 'existential' image on its own---ie, 3 people together, who couldn't be separate from each other if they tried. Hope I'm not wayyyyy off! Very surreal.
(Btw, I saw your response to lordi's web tale, and I translated it afterwards. Really fun and well written! Love the twists as we go along. My Deutsch is near gone, so I had to translate; but it made a lot of sense in translation. I really liked it---great response to the web tale!)
Thank you so very much ππ
The text on the book was given, it has nothing to do with the quote in the title. And nope, you're not off in any way :)
Well, the snow story isn't my own, I don't even know, who wrote it, it's as old as the internet :D But still today it makes me laugh, cause it could had been written in Norway and the situation we have almost every winter. Luckily never over 2 meters with snow, but that's already more than enough :D
@NenaLuise Heh, those little dogs act aggressive often but they are quite the chicken usually!
They are not different to any other breed, the problem is always the owner. If the owner is scared or insecure, the dog has the feeling to take over control and becomes aggressive.
I had a litter of Border Collies and one woman came some weeks later and told me, that her puppy gets aggressive and started to bite. A PUPPY! I sat down with the woman and asked some questions and the solution was so easy to find. It was her, she was afraid, the dog could bite. Now, a dog don't know, why the owner is scared or insecure, but it feels the fear and acts corresponding. This woman had no trust in herself and even less in her puppy. A disaster in the making. Luckily she was willing to work on herself, her "puppy" is now 11 years old, kind as can be and the woman gained a lot of confidence :)
@NenaLuise Aww! I'm glad that had a happy ending for them both.
I'm guess I'm just speaking about some of the little ones I see in the neighbourhood that act aggressive but aren't actually that brave. Other ones bark not out of aggressive but I think just to say hi because they are excited to see you.
There are some other nice little ones. There is this energetic pair that are super fast and very friendly, they are like instead best friends of anyone they meet.
But you are right, dogs take a cue from the owner for sure. I know someone who complained that in her building the one guy keeps being surprised there is someone there every time he exits the elevator (even though he is living in an apartment building full of people) and then his dog thinks because this guy gets spooked that he is in trouble and then gets aggressive to try to protect him.
Yes, some are exited :) For me still a no-go, a dog only has to bark when there is a reason and even then, sometimes it's better, if he only growls. My wonderful Charly (Border Colli, passed away with 13) barked every time for excitement, when my older son came back home or who ever came to the house. But in the night time, when we were sleeping, Charly only growled, so he didn't wake us up lol I wasn't able to make him stop this behavior, so with his daughter, I took care about it right from the beginning. She's 11 now and sometimes I wonder, if she even can bark :D
Oh, I love these friendly dogs, doesn't matter the size, cause it shows, that the owner knows, what he's doing. So sad about the elevator-guy, that he isn't in control of himself. Must be extreme stressful for the poor dog.
Outstanding realism, gorgeous composition, superb atmosphere and lighting, brilliant awesome render.
Magnificent Masterpiece of Finest Arts. I love it!ππ₯°π€
Thank you so very much ππ€
@NenaLuise Agreed! Poor dog must be high stressed with his jumpy owner. Hopefully his owner will learn to be a bit calmer so his dog won't think he's in danger all the time...
And Charly sounds like he was a wonderful dog :) Smart too, would be considerate when you were sleeping :D
Thank you so much :)
Yes, Charly was very intelligent, even though I knew before, that Border Collies are one of the most intelligent breed, I was more than once stunned. He was special and my sons and I are missing him so badly:(
