Hi and thank-you very much for looking, my story will continue using the beautiful V4 (Victoria 4) ... I love Japan and I love my home country ... but ... after two typhoons and one massive earthquake and hundreds of aftershocks I'am leaving. picture 1; My temp dorm room/home that I was sharing with others, it was a tight squeeze empty. picture 2; It was a even tighter squeeze when we were all home, which was most of the time with school closed and restricted movement around the school building, I will miss my room-mates very much. picture 3; My situation is driving me crazy and my head feels like it will explode, those that could return home were told to do so until school opens again, those that had to stay were asked to help with volunteer work, that was what I chose to do, it was rewarding and depressing, it was good to help others, but I also got to see so much damage and destruction, I felt guilty that I was safe when some many were not. picture 4; The school was doing its best to feed those of us staying behind, lots and lots of 2 minute noodle meals, just add water and microwave for a few minutes. Water is so precious and I get 6 bottles a day, I drink 5 and use 1 to wash myself. I usually spend part of my year in Australia during their fruit picking season, from December to about May/June and return home, I still have time on my visa and passport to return to Australia for about 18 months, I just have to abide by my work visa conditions and I will be ok. I have more friends now in Australia than family or friends at home so it makes sense to go there now and decide my future in safety. I have a job to start on Monday so only a few days left to settle in, Thank God I have all my Daz studio and Carrara work on a external hard-drive that I was able to bring with me, it passed through customs after about a hour of them viewing it. My friend and co-worker Zoro (Darren) has also been using Daz studio and Carrara but since 2008 and in 2015 his computer crashed or froze and he thought he had lost years of work and memories, he took the computer to a computer store to get it repaired but they said the hard-drive was dead and even showed him it hooked up to their computer and could not access the data. Not much choice but to buy a new computer, they recycle computers at the store and wanted as part of the deal that he leave his old computer and hard-drive, "I can leave my old computer but no way am I leaving the hard-drive" he told them knowing that he had thousands of dollars in Daz studio content on the hard-drive. He kept trying the hard-drive in his other computers over the years and a few days ago he contacted me (on the same day I decided to return to Australia) and told me of a miracle, he can now access part of the hard-drive, he can now see some of his old real life photos from the orchard and lots of old Carrara models he had created, the bad news was there is no content folders for Daz studio so the Daz models he made of friends to share in stories or funny situations would not load in Daz studio anymore, kept on telling him missing this and missing that so in scene tab it showed Victoria4 or Michael4 and clothes or hair name for them but nothing was showing in viewport, it was completely blank, he sent a copy of a few files for me to try and yes he was right, usually if Daz studio is missing a texture map it will load something into the scene, but nothing. I looked in Parameters and Shaping tabs and they were not on zero, I clicked on another part of the tab and copied the settings, I loaded a new Victoria4 into the scene, selected her and pasted the settings and to my amazement she morphed into another character, I was so excited, But I did not tell Zoro I thought I will surprise hm when I get back to Australia. It was bitter sweet finding old data on his hard-drive it had some good memories but also showed some friends that he will never see again. picture 5; I got a chance to re-visit my first Daz studio picture and now with more content and knowledge I was able to light the scene a bit better. picture 6,7,8,& 9; Some of the things that helped pass my time at closed school, I remember or have heard of some of the games included and some you might remember. As soon as I can I will finish my story with Masha, Suki, Sean and Mr Shaw rebuilding Sean's car but without me and maybe continue the story until I start a new story about my real life in Australia, I had movie night Friday night with Zoro and we watched "Crocodile Dundee" and ? Oh my god my mind has gone blank, I promise if I remember I will include it here, it was a true story about Australia helping broadcast the Moon landing from a big radio dish? telescope thingy? here, I just cannot remember the name it was called, I flew for half a day and just having trouble adjusting. More story and pictures soon as I can ... Oh Zoro just came to visit and the name of the other movie is "The Dish" with Sam Neill from Jurasic Park and many other movies, he chose that to watch because Sam Neill just passed away, so sad, I know the movie "The hunt for the wilder people" he was in, I like that one, stay safe. can you believe it took me over a hour and a half to write this description, thank you for your interest.
