Description
Medieval Era 2.0 : The Crashed Airplane.
A few days later, the twin sisters found a crashed airplane; there WERE indeed flying vehicles.
The books and newspapers from their great-great-grandfather about his epoch were telling the truth. Something had happened during or after the epoch in which these books and newspapers were written, but what? A war? Neither their father nor their mother mentioned it, nor Anton, nor their teachers in class ... nobody. Why? Is Anton aware of it? Anybody?
Would the twins tell anything about it? Tell Anton? What would be the consequence? Will they be perceived as crazy, to have lost their mind, or worse ... to be sorceresses. Be imprisoned, be stoned, be burned? Maybe it would be better not to reveal it. They cannot ignore what their own eyes have seen; they have to pretend that this has never existed. The truth is too heavy to carry. It is impossible to deny or ignore it. This is scary. They are among the poor, have no power, no credibility, barely tolerated. They decided to play stupid; it is safer. Not even to tell Anton, a so-loving brother Anton ... for his protection ... even if he is wealthy and of high status. Otherwise, they risk losing everything.
When Anton comes for the next visit, he will feel that something has changed; he can read their faces like an open book. How the twins will deal with Anton's reaction.
They decided to tell half the truth. They will tell him that they have seen a huge destroyed building far in the forest and are shocked by it. They will tell him that they have no idea where, that they were almost lost in the woods, so scared that they cried. It was a miracle that they succeeded in coming back home.
They decided to go back to visit these buildings, then remove all trail posts while coming back home ... and to hide these posts.
If he knows about it, he will confirm to them; otherwise, he will simply smile at the twins as if they have too much imagination.
They also decide that they will continue to read their great-great-grandfather’s books and newspaper of his epoch, but at a slower pace to deal with anxiety, but also to fulfill their awakened bottomless curiosity. It is like the excitement and the fear of standing near a precipice. It is like having opened a time-travel gate to the true past: the extraordinary legacy of their great-great-grandfather Serghei.
After their death, probably due to old age, these documents will be inherited by Anton's last son. The twins hope that he will get the wealth, status and wisdom that will enable him to tell the truth with the appropriate impact.
