Cephalopods are highly intelligent animals that are also very sociable and outgoing. They can distinguish between individual humans and even show signs of bonding and affection.
Ever since I learned that, calamari rings just don't taste quite as good to me anymore... 😳

Sehr schön. Das sind absolut faszinierende Tiere.
These are very smart creatures you have here...if only they were the size in scale to the diver you have here, I wonder if they would be feared or admired for their calm majestic nature or threatened by its huge proportions.
One only needs to look how us humans have treated and hunted the whales throughout history, yet there are boat excursions of many that just want to get close enough to the whales in order to admire them in their natural ocean territory.
These images turned out great, as a previous diver...I am not sure how I would have reacted if I ever saw one of these on my previous dives. I guess it would all depend on them not wrapping their tentacles around my body! lol :)
