Description
The group 'Friends of Smythe Park' have been working to try to pause the flood migration plan, so that it could be reviewed, flaws fixed and a proper plan put through. They also help take care of the park in keeping it clean and help people get connected with the nature in the park through tours and walks. They've also collaborated on projects such as the local medicine garden with Indigenous waterkeepers and youth.
Despite the government's decision to ignore the growing petition, they've been dedicated to doing what they can to keep the park and the wildlife whom call the park their home, in the best state they can.
