Description

Why did I come up with this idea? I honestly don't know. But one day I set myself a challenge: create a system where a door can only be opened if the correct combination has been entered.
I borrowed a safe model from Nergal83 and completely reworked it into a Poser prop. Then the real work began.
With the help of valueOpKey, valueDeltaAdd, and a whole collection of other valuexxxx tricks, I eventually managed to create a realistic safe: the door can only be opened when all four dials are set to the correct combination. That gives more than 40 million possible combinations!
Once the correct combination has been found, the handle unlocks, the bolts retract into the door, and the safe can finally be opened.
Of course, it is always possible to cheat... but that would be dishonest. 😁
I have just submitted it to my FreeStuff area and am now waiting for approval from the Renderosity testers.
This may take a while—after all, there are more than 40 million combinations to try!
Special thanks to ChatGPT for assistance with brainstorming, troubleshooting, and documentation.
In programming terms, it essentially served as a particularly patient rubber duck (Rubber Duck Debugging).
No ducks were harmed during the development of this safe. A few bugs were not so fortunate.

this looks wonderful... great job. it is fun trying to puzzle out how to gets things to work the way you envision them in Poser :))
Thank you! The challenge was exactly that: figuring out how to make Poser behave the way I wanted. It took quite a bit of experimenting, but it was a lot of fun.
