Pretty Aquilegia aka columbines. x3 They are one of my favorite flowers.
I love the look of these flowers too :) I can see why you like them
Yea, they do have rather unique looing flowers and also their colors and color combinations are pretty. When I was young, my grandma had bunch of different colored ones growing almost around the house. She loved flowers. I also remember my grandpa being rather grumby grunt about them but like just for show. I my reasons to like them.x3
That is so lovely!
Yea, another things she loved were roses, lilacs, tigerlillies and wolf's bane. She had these huge rose bushes, some are still alive.I'll try and see to find some photos of those and take some more at next Midsummer when visiting at birth home again.
Oh I hope you do! I'd love to see those, I hope you can and share them here for everyone to see :)
That's the plan. :D
:) I see some flowers in your gallery! I'll take a look
Yea, found some photos.
They were very lovely :)
Thank you. I probably post some more later. It's transer process from phone and drives that's taking while. x..x
Ah, yeah that can take a bit. But glad to hear you'll be posting more :)
Some need converting because different file format. x..x There's surprisingly lot photos in few years. I dunno are digitial camera era ones too small these days. And should really just get out there to take some more photos too.
New photos are always nice! But yeah file formats can keep changing a lot for digital, some of my older software can't open some of the newer formats, etc. I think most of the digital camera ones should be fine
Yea and then there is that fact that ipad/mac uses different image format alltogether than pc/android one does. I dunno why they just cannot bend a knee and go for image standand .jpg and .jpeg. There really shouldn't be no issues for programs to open old image files but there could be some problems in devices instead.Windows so far has been backwards compatible and when you know how to you can get stuff migrated from old machines to newer storages. Newer laptop and devices are seriously lacking with such essential things ( or am just old one ) CD/DVD/Blue-Ray drives which is really a shame. Luckily they still make portable ones that can be attached into machines. And me who has some of photos stashed away on DVDs and still occasionally play games from discs and watch movies and listen music from disc offline... I dunno, do people today even know what it is alike to listen music offline without disturbances, adds and such? :Sorry, am getting too thoughtful here.
Heh, I still listen to music on a player, I don't like ads inbetween :) I also have lots of things on dvds and cds and am a bit annoyed they removed the drive. I hope they at least keep the compatible separate drive or how are people going to use old formats?
Yea. I sure hope they do that. I got portable casette player few years ago. i lost one that I had.Honestly, I think that people find ways to keep using older tech and seconhand stores are one very effective way for that.
That is good! You know, there is a company that still makes wax cylinders and ships them worldwide. I find that nice that old technology is still supported.
Hold up. Wax cylinders? As in for phonograph? That's insane and also awesome.
Yes exactly! :) And it's not just old records on it either, they've had requests for new music to be made on wax cylinders
That's really cool. That would preserve music for much longer perdiods than on CDs and hard-drives ever could. Wasn't it so that CD/DVD would last only for around 100 year and magnetic sheet over the plastic would just peel right off rendering discs completely useless?
I'm not sure about the exact timeline for that but I wouldn't be surprised! Many a times the older technology had longer lasting abilities than newer formats...
Back then stuff was actually made to build to last by using skill and quality materials.
I miss that sentiment and effort...
At some point ( we al know when and why though but it's not politically correct to talk about it out loud apparently ) things changed and stuff is now made cheap from materials that are barely good and won't really last as long. x..x It's rather wasteful.
I know! I'm glad somethings are moving back more the other way but unfortunately some companies seem to decide it is better to make money by causing things to fail early...
