Man at his home desk; gazing in thought at his computer monitor/ screen , with souvenirs of his past life near him..
For some years, he was member of a social media Site, where over time it became part of his life, in which he would post digital artwork, digital fractal patterns via this digital medium, for others to see.
Over time he befriended 1 of the main founders of fractal image making community and was asked to help out there as an Administrator. His main duty was to change the Group Banner/ Cover/ Title image, using a copy of image by other members of this group , acknowledging these people as the actual creator..
And so he did these things for many years.
Then 1 late night, while at his computer and logged into this Media . This service asked him to do some stuff, supposed to confirm his identity for security reason.
For some unknown reason he was not able to this task via his PC but he was able to do it via his mobile phoe.
Not long after he got a message say his account was permanently disabled for what later he discovered - the AI service security/ monitoring system was Advertising , even though he all did was post images for 95 percent at this medium. All these were accepted by the system. Nor were any posts of this person asking for money in any form , nor asking to do business with others..
He was giving a chance to appeal this banning/ disabling and so he did almost immediately but to no avail.
He did try attempt to log back in a handful of times.. But informed on the screen, Account was Disabled, as the system claimed for going against their rules / standards.
He did attempt email support departments to tell him about himself and that he was not even working or had a business & inform them he believe he was wrongly or mistakenly had his account disabled..
But no email reply came back - " not even in the Negative "
So he waited, & waited, & waited some more..
He decide to wait about a month to see if his account might be recovered or given back to him
He waited for 25 days , still not contact with the media company .
So he realised for him.. It was The..
END OF LINE !

Nice work and storyline. I've had at least 3 people on DeviantArt who were very nice. Commented on my images and even gave awards. When I get feedback like that, I always try to reciprocate. Then one day when I clicked on their account, it said account disabled. And not one of them has returned....so far. Why? Don't have a clue.

Not a fun story. If you play in someone else's playground, you unfortunately are subject to their whims. And they can be cruel and capricious. Knowing this intellectually doesn't make it any easier if it actually happens to you. Sorry to hear it.
Thanks for the Compliment.. Sadly.. the playground is monitored by Energy-powered Non-organic intelligence and there is no apparent way of reasoning with them, and those who created them do not supervise them it seems.. :(
In the Netherlands we have a word that I feel could apply to the whimsical image in blue, namely "chimeras". I mean a lot must have been going through your mind about how to interpret this event and give it a place. Saying goodbye is not always fun anyway, but if you've to explain the reason yourself, it makes you insecure.
Unfortunately, these kinds of things happen and you're left with question marks. You've designed it very well, and I find the black image on your desk an interesting object. With all due respect, it will pass; and hopefully, not until the next rejection. (That's how it's with me, I'm too trusting for my own good.)

Man, this one hits... that quiet "end of line" vibe is real, you can feel the weight in that scene. Sorry you lost your Facebook ID, I used to see your stuff there all the time - I miss it, and I'm sure I'm not the only one. But look at this space now, new people, real engagement... kinda proves it's the art and the artist that matter, not the platform (that reptilian circus can keep itself 😄). You've still got your voice, just a different stage - and honestly, it's hitting.

He did his work very good and was always kind and still is ,I miss him at the fractal group .He was one of the kind souls there . The storyline and illustrations are excellent. Love the abstract on the background, cool robot too. Sad that AI have the last word. But I am glad I can see your images and read the story here.

This touches true on a lot people's experiences in different areas not just online where they were unfairly blocked or punished by something they shouldn't have - even more frustrating when trying to reason with a program, not a person, because it cannot understand or even give you an opportunity to explain yourself. Very well illustrated and written here.

Very nice work, I would have highlighted even more all the elements of the office that represent him and real life, to isolate him more from his computer, but we are a little bit like him.
well i did in a way.. the 3rd image show some objects i have used in images i made... The Asian Dragon, the ancient greek type Potter.. the flower decorated vases/ pot, the space ship.. sadly these images were posted to FB.. :( .. the robot on the desk is the same figure i used in AI- Curiosity...
PS : the pose i used had him in what he appears to be in thought... and the story is about digital social media and so requires the computer.. - Thanks for the suggestion though...
