I based this series on the self portrait by Da Vinci. - Scenario : Da Vinci has decided to leave Florence for France as he is bored and wants to do something different again...
This is seriously impressive 🔥
The likeness to Da Vinci’s self-portrait is instantly recognizable, but what really stands out is the mood you created. That warm, candlelit environment and the cathedral setting give it a very authentic Renaissance feel.
The close-up shots are especially strong - the skin detail, beard work, and expression really bring him to life. And that wide shot adds a nice storytelling layer, like a quiet moment before a big change.
Really solid work, glad to see you posting again 👍
Thanks kindly :))
That looks good. Leonardo is definitely recognizable.
Thanks kindly, Lordi.. I looked up his self portrait sketch and attempted to get a close resemblance to it in Daz, with the morphs i got for the figure...
Nicely done
Thanks, Illkirch..
Cool !
Thanks, Water..
The light and shadow are expressed very skillfully, making it a wonderful piece.
Thanks kindly - Tatu..
I'm sure the Master is thinking about a future masterpiece !
According to some google based research I had did on Da Vinci, he got bored quickly and was looking for something new to do... For example - His most famous work - What we call the Mona Lisa.. he never completed.. he didn't do the details on her hands if you look closely..
Excellent
Gosh, this is some really wonderful use of light and shadow. Great modeling and texturing as well. Fine offering!
Thanks - to be honest. i didn't model or texture the figure. Leo is a 3d figure i bought and with character morphs attempted to make his face similar to his self-portrait sketch long ago.. as well as changed the texture on his coat..
Thanks for lookin' and commenting!
Huh ???
I like this depiction of him and how you lit up the environment, looks quite nice.
Thanks - kindly - Aplus..
